DELIVERY DRIVER, WAREHOUSE & PACKAGING ASSISTANT

FULL-TIME, PERMANENT ROLE BASED IN OUR BREWERY AT 1-2 DYLAN RD, LONDON, SE240HL.

 

Start date: immediate preferred, but flexible depending on circumstances

The role:

We are looking for someone to join our Operations team in the role of Delivery Driver, Warehouse & Packaging Assistant. The roles responsibilities include delivering to customers across London, warehousing and assisting with packaging. This is a dynamic role that requires great communication skills, attention to detail and work ethic. You will be assisting the Operations and Brewing teams in making sure our beer is stored correctly, packaged promptly, and out to customers accurately.

Essential skills & qualifications:

This is an entry level role with every opportunity to grow and develop – the right attitude is key! 

  • Previous experience driving or delivering goods
  • Must be over 25 years-old and have held a clean UK Driving License for at least 3 years (for insurance purposes).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Fit and able to lift 50kg or more
  • Able to work effectively in a team
  • The ability to work independently and to deadlines
  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks
  • Experience of manual work
  • Legal right to work in the UK

Great to have:

  • Forklift license
  • Previous experience working in a brewery or warehouse
  • Interest in craft beer

Key tasks:

  • Deliveries to customers across London in our Brixton Brewery branded van. Approximately half your time will be spent on deliveries.
  • Represent the brewery professionally as the face our customers see the most.
  • Pick stock for daily deliveries.
  • General warehouse maintenance and cleaning.
  • Assisting the brewers on packaging lines – keg, can and bottle – and across production when necessary
  • Stock rotation
  • Maintain a high level of Health and Safety at all times
  • Be a brand ambassador
  • Any other duties to assist in the smooth running of the brewery, including assisting the brewers and operations staff, maintenance & DIY, event work

The role:

We are looking for someone to join our Production team in the role of Lead Packager. The roles responsibilities include running and maintaining our rotary canning line, keg filler and bottling line; ordering raw packaging materials and ensuring accurate labelling of finished products. This is an important role that requires meticulous attention to CCP’s and other food and product safety procedures at this critical point in our production. You will also be assisting the production team across the brewing process.

 

 

Essential skills & qualifications:

  • At least 3 years’ experience running a canning line and kegging line.
  • IBD General Certificate in Brewing or Packaging or equivalent.
  • Managerial experience – leading teams, dealing with suppliers, managing deadlines.
  • Engineering/mechanical experience – ability to fix complex machinery.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fit and able to lift 50kg or more.
  • Able to work effectively in a team.
  • The ability to work independently and to deadlines.
  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.

 

Great to have:

  • Experience with Brewman management software.
  • HACCP qualifications.
  • Forklift license.

 

Key tasks:

  • Running our canning line & bottling line – Keeping to production schedules whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Overseeing our kegging line – Keeping to production schedules whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Effective CIP of equipment.
  • Ensuring the quality and integrity of the beer during packaging – following all CCP, food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintenance of the canning and kegging lines to avoid down time and inefficient running.
  • Preparation and oversight of labelling.
  • Ordering of packaging materials – kegs, cans, cases, etc.
  • Communication with the warehouse team to ensure accuracy.
  • Operation of centrifuge for beer transfer.
  • Assisting the brewing team on wider brewing tasks.
  • Any other duties to assist in the smooth running of the brewery, including assisting the brewers and operations staff, maintenance & DIY, event work.
