DELIVERY DRIVER

FULL-TIME, PERMANENT ROLE

SALARY  £23k + BONUS

Deadline:  Fri 10th June 2022 but willing to fill role with right candidate before this date.

The role:

We are looking for a Delivery Driver with a great work-ethic, an eye for detail and a sunny disposition. You will be the face of Brixton Brewery to our customers and the backbone of our operations team! An ideal candidate will use their initiative and always be looking for work across the brewery.

Essential skills & qualifications:

  • Previous experience driving or delivering goods (preferably in London)
  • Must be over 25 years-old and have held a clean UK Driving License for at least 3 years (for insurance purposes).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Fit and able to lift 50kg or more
  • Able to work effectively in a team
  • The ability to work independently and to deadlines
  • Experience of manual work
  • Legal right to work in the UK

Great to have:

  • Forklift license
  • Previous experience working in a brewery or warehouse
  • Interest in craft beer

Key tasks:

  • Deliveries to customers across London in our Brixton Brewery branded van.
  • Represent the brewery professionally as the face our customers see the most.
  • Assist in the warehouse with order picking and stock control.
  • Maintain a high level of Health and Safety at all times
  • Assist the packaging team when necessary
  • Be a brand ambassador
  • Any other duties to assist in the smooth running of the brewery, including assisting the brewers and operations staff, maintenance & DIY, event work

This list is not exhaustive, additional responsibilities and duties may be required on occasion.

FINANCE ASSISTANT

PART-TIME, PERMANENT ROLE
BASED IN OUR BREWERY AT 1-2 DYLAN RD, LONDON, SE24 0HL*

SALARY  £26-£30k (PRO RATA)

*Working Routine: This involves three days per week working in the office with the rest of the team, and the remainder working remotely if you’d prefer. It will be possible to work more days from the office if you want.

The role

We are looking for a driven and organised Finance Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time contract, 30 hours per week.

Reporting to the Finance Manager the role will have responsibility for maintaining the purchase and sales ledger, preparation of supplier payments and reconciling bank accounts. The role requires an individual who is a real team player, a strong communicator, someone with excellent attention to detail who can adhere to tight deadlines.

Key tasks of the role include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Maintain AR + AP ledgers to a high standard, ensuring invoices are posted timely and accurately.
  • Regular bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting with credit control.
  • Managing accounts inbox, ensuring great communication with external and internal stakeholders as well as resolving any queries.
  • Preparation of weekly payment run.
  • Reviewing staff expenses.
  • Assisting with preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting with Month end close, posting journals and ensuring accurate accounting.
  • Maintenance of prepayment and accruals schedules.
  • Collaborating with the Operations and Sales teams.
  • Participate in the year-end physical count of inventories and fixed assets.
  • Any other adhoc duties required by the Finance Manager.

Essential skills & qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of AP/AR processes.
  • Sound fundamental accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to use initiative and identify areas of improvement.
  • Highly numerate, analytical, highly organised with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Confident communicator, polite and professional.
  • Able to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.

Great to have:

  • Accountancy/ Finance degree or relevant qualification.
  • Knowledge of Xero + Receipt Bank advantageous.
  • Previous FMCG experience.
  • A keen interest in craft beer.
  • Experience complying with regulatory bodies (e.g. HMRC).

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic business development professional who will be responsible for winning new business opportunities for our range of delicious beers.

Key Tasks:

· Working with the Head of Sales to meet ambitious growth targets through identifying and generating new business opportunities

· Work closely with Brewery Ambassadors to ensure smooth handover and maintenance of relationship

· Gathering industry information on key trends and developing relationships with key head office contacts

· Managing contracts and installations

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

· Your strong experience working in and around London and proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets will set you up nicely in this role

· Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills will help you positively rep-resent us as a face of Brixton Brewery

· You’ll need to be able to travel around London and the greater region spreading the word about our beers, sometimes outside of regular work hours as our customers don’t work 9-5

· You must have the legal right to work in the UK as we are unable to sponsor candidates
